Lage und Anbindung

Vivat, crescat, floreat!

In bester Verbindung

Vivat, crescat, floreat!

Growing, flowering and flourishing – the former capital of the “Young Palatinate” has been making history for centuries. Neuburg on the Danube has good connections – to the strong location of Upper Bavaria and to everywhere else in the world.

Situated between the cities of Munich, Augsburg and Nuremberg, Neuburg benefits from the vibrant economic area of Southern Bavaria  and its welldeveloped traffic network. Road and rail provide a reliable link to the central traffic junctions of the north-south and westeast European development axes. Both the new markets in Eastern Europe and over-seas, and also the European centres of commerce are directly within reach.

The best connections

Railways, trunk roads, motorways and the cities of Munich and Augsburg with their airports in the immediate vicinity, guarantee flexibility and are in easy reach. Neuburg and its surroundings are well-connected: regionally, nationally and internationally. Global contacts and cooperation have been created through town partnerships with the seaport of Sète in Southern France and Jeseník in the Czech Republic, and also through the friendly alliance with the network of “Newcastles of the World”.

The B 16 trunk road fulfils a double function as the link axis between west and east and also as the feeder road to the A 8 and A 9 motorways. The B 13 trunk road is an alternative to the A 9 motorway. There is an hourly train service between Donauwörth (Augsburg) and Ingolstadt (Munich) with direct ICE connection. The airports of Augsburg and Munich are a 45-minute drive away.
